TheWedLink launched the first iPhone app designed to help bridal couples find local wedding vendors.   We are taking a different approach than other wedding websites, like The Knot and WeddingWire.  Instead focusing on selling advertisement space to vendors, we are only looking to find the best vendors in each city from word-of-mouth recommendations by bridal couples.  After we get enough recommendations to fill a city, selected vendors will have an opportunity to join.

In addition to finding the best local wedding vendors in their city, TheWedLink iPhone app allows bridal couples to instantly announce their engagement to their friends and family using their iPhone camera, address book, and a custom message immediately after the proposal, when they couldn’t be more excited to share the news with their loved ones.  The website has a message board for everyone to post their congrulations.
